He was predeceased by: his parents, Junius Allen "J. A." Hicks and Sara Ruth Hicks (Jenkins); and his sister Shirley Wantzloeben (Hicks). He is survived by: his sons, Vernon Harold Hicks, Jr. (Tatiana) of Brownwood, Roger Dale Hicks of Early and Paul Douglas Hicks of Brownwood; his wife Lola Francene McGuire; and his brothers, William Douglas Hicks, Fabian Allen Hicks, Charles Gilbert Hicks, James Alvin Hicks and Bruce Allen Hicks. He is also survived by Five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cross Plains Cemetery.
