The memory of Roy W. Plumlee of Terrell, Texas, who passed away on April 24, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Roy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Plumlee and Nell Willis Plumlee. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jefferies Plumlee; his children, Rebecca Schumacher (David) and Rip Plumlee (Susan); and his grandchildren, Sarah Kamer, Donna Blackstock, John Schumacher, James Schumacher, Hannah Lum and Bennett Plumlee. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Terrell Rifle & Pistol Club (17405 Co Rd 345, Terrell, TX 75161). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211). The military honors will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025.
