He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Garrett and Ruby Allen Garrett; and his siblings, Royce Garrett and Barbara Allen. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Garrett of Simms, Texas; his daughters, Lanell Hooper (Jeffrey) of DeKalb and Adria Daniels (Floyd) of DeKalb, Texas; his grandchildren, Cody (Tara), Ethan, Cole, Hanna (Seth), Victorya and Kyleigh (Hagen); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Carter, Sterling and Miles; his godchildren, Christian, Taylor, Hope-Lynn and Makaylee; and also Danny Garrett (Lajuan) of New Boston, Texas..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
