He is survived by: his wife Gay Deaton Roden; his son Trey; his daughter-in-law Julie Roden of Allen, Texas; his daughter Jenny Bennett of Georgetown, Texas; his grandchildren, Logan Bennett of Georgetown, Texas, Austin Roden (Kate) of Thailand, Addie (Alan Sun) of San Francisco, California, Destin Bennett of Austin, Texas, Gus Roden of Allen, Texas and Sydney Bennett of Houston, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Knox of Thailand, Blakely of Thailand and Ember Roden of Thailand.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Salado United Methodist Church (650 Royal St, Salado, TX 76571). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Salado Cemetery (1109 Baines St, Salado, TX 76571).
Norm was an ex-student, a member of the Longhorn Foundation, and a member of the Chancellor's council.
