With sadness, we share the passing of William Mays Acker (Dallas, Texas). William, born on April 14, 1935 in Richmond, Virginia, passed away on June 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Wilder and Joseph Morris Acker; and his wife Marcia. He is survived by: his children, Leigh Chandler and Paul Acker; his children-in-law, George Chandler and Rachelle Acker; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, George, Katherine Chandler, John and Aubrey Acker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Grand Hall (8301 N Central Expy, Dallas, TX 75225). A reception will be held on Saturday, July 11th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Grand Hall (2640 Old Denton Rd Ste 200, Carrollton, TX 75007).
