She was predeceased by: her parents, T. Paul Nelson and Nellie Ann Nelson. She is survived by: her husband James Jackson (Jim); her daughters, Jennifer Proctor (Dan), Deidre Craft, Keira Lea McDonald and Colleen DeMille (Stan); her stepchildren, Joe Jackson (Shana) and Liz Donegan (Daniel); her grandchildren, Lane, Reed Proctor, Olivia, Arlo, Aran Craft, Tripp and Jackson DeMille; her brother Tim Nelson; and her nephew Cody Nelson. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, cousins, and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St Francis of Assisi (816 Wildwood Ln, Grapevine, TX 76051). A burial will be held on Friday, June 26th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Greenwood Memorial Park (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paula's memory may be made to Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas (gsnetx.org), where she devoted many years of service helping young girls discover their strengths and leadership potential, or to the Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur (ssmnwestern.org), the religious community of women who educated, nurtured, and inspired her throughout her youth.
